धन्य हो तुम, जब मनुष्य मेरे कारण झूठ बोल बोलकर तुम्हरे विरोध में सब प्रकार की बुरी बात कहें। आनन्‍दित और मगन होना क्‍योंकि तुम्हारे लिये स्‍वर्ग में बड़ा फल है इसलिये कि उन्‍होंने उन भविष्यद्वक्ताओं को जो तुम से पहिले थे इसी रीति से सताया था। तुम पृथ्वी के नमक हो; परन्‍तु यदि नमक का स्‍वाद बिगड़ जाए, तो वह फिर किस वस्‍तु से नमकीन किया जाएगा? - मत्ती ५:१०-१२

पर जैसे जैसे मसीह के दुखों में सहभागी होते हो, आनन्‍द करो, जिस से उसकी महिमा के प्रगट होते समय भी तुम आनन्‍दित और मगन हो। पर यदि कोई मसीही होने के कारण दुख पाए, तो लज्ज़ित न हो, पर इस बात के लिये परमेश्वर की महिमा करे। - १ पतरस ४:१३, १६

Psalms 32:11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

हे धर्मियों यहोवा के कारण आनन्दित और मगन हो, और हे सब सीधे मन वालों आनन्द से जय जयकार करो। - भजन संहिता ३२:११

Psalms 33:1 Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

हे धर्मियों यहोवा के कारण जय जयकार करो क्योंकि धर्मी लोगों को स्तुति करनी सोहती है। - भजन संहिता ३३:१

Psalms 34:1 A Psalm of David, when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Psalms 35:28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.

तब मेरे मुंह से तेरे धर्म की चर्चा होगी, और दिन भर तेरी स्तुति निकलेगी। - भजन संहिता ३५:२८
